Lead Carpenter

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead to oversee and coordinate a wide range of construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. As a key leader on our team, you will manage daily operations on-site, supervise skilled tradespeople, and ensure adherence to project plans, schematics, and safety protocols. Your expertise in various construction disciplines will drive project success from start to finish, inspiring your team and maintaining excellent communication with clients and stakeholders. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead complex projects involving wood building erection, framing, siding, finished work, and restoration work.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all aspects of construction projects, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet project deadlines.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards, building codes, blueprints, schematics, and project specifications.
• Oversee the use of hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and other machinery necessary for rough framing, siding, trim carpentry, and remodeling tasks.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to guide construction activities accurately.
• Manage procurement of siding materials, woodwork components, and other supplies needed for diverse projects.
• Conduct quality control inspections on-site to ensure craftsmanship in framing (including metal framing), trim carpentry, restoration work, and more.
• Coordinate with clients and project managers to communicate progress updates and address any issues promptly.
• Maintain detailed documentation of project milestones, safety reports, incident logs, and site inspections.

Experience

• Proven experience in construction management with a strong background in wood/metal rough framing, and trim carpentry.
• Extensive hands-on experience with carpentry—including frame carpentry, trim carpentry, windows, doors, flooring, tile, siding installation, etc.
• Familiarity with blueprint reading—schematics—and interpreting technical drawings for complex construction tasks.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently on construction sites.
• Knowledge of safety regulations related to construction site operations and OSHA standards.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple crews across diverse trades while maintaining high-quality standards. Pay: $28.00 - $33.00 per hour
