Position Summary
The Early Intervention Specialist/CBRS Provider supports children (birth–3) with developmental delays in natural environments such as the home or daycare setting. This position focuses on play-based, evidence-based interventions while coaching caregivers to support skill development during daily routines.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide services in the child’s home or community setting (natural environment model)
- Collaborate with families to develop and implement Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs)
- Implement play-based, evidence-based developmental interventions
- Support cognitive, communication, motor, and social-emotional development
- Conduct developmental assessments and monitor progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all sessions
- Collaborate with service coordinators and interdisciplinary providers (OT, PT, Speech, etc.)
- Travel to assigned client homes within service area
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Psychology, Social Work, or related field
- Experience working with infants/toddlers or children with developmental delays
- Strong communication and family coaching skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to travel to client homes
Preferred:
- Knowledge of NC Infant-Toddler Program (NC ITP)
- Previous CBRS or Early Intervention experience
- Bilingual (a plus!)
