About the Role
We're seeking an organized, detail-oriented Paralegal to support our attorneys through every stage of litigation, from case intake to trial. You'll be a key point of contact for clients, a trusted resource for our legal team, and an essential part of moving cases forward toward resolution. What You'll Do
Litigation & Case Management
- Draft and file pleadings, motions, and correspondence, including e-filing with state and federal courts
- Draft and file discovery requests and responses, including non-party subpoenas and deposition notices
- Prepare summaries and timelines of medical records and defendant productions
- Track discovery deadlines, statute dates, and court appearances; manage case calendars
- Prepare exhibits and materials for depositions, mediations, and trial
- Assist attorneys with case preparation for hearings, depositions, and trial
- Help move cases toward settlement by managing discovery, following up on outstanding issues, and keeping case progress on track
- Review and organize evidence, records, and exhibits for mediations
Client & Professional Relations
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and status communications throughout their case
- Schedule and coordinate client meetings and appointments as needed
- Communicate professionally with court staff, vendors, medical providers, and opposing counsel
- Stay current on legal trends and best practices through paralegal associations and professional networks
What You Bring
- Basic understanding of the litigation process, deadlines, and court procedures
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- A commitment to accuracy, discretion, and professionalism in all legal matters
- Prior paralegal or litigation support experience preferred; paralegal certificate a plus
