Accounts Receivable Specialist Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar field preferred, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in accounts receivable or customer-facing accounting roles
- Proficiency in Excel (formulas, lookups, data management)
- Experience with ERP systems, with NetSuite being a plus
- Strong communication skills and a solutions-oriented mindset
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Customer-focused, personable, and capable of working effectively across teams
Accounts Receivable Specialist Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the complete accounts receivable process for two separate business units
- Generate, review, and send accurate invoices to clients
- Track aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts in a timely manner
- Resolve billing discrepancies professionally and efficiently
- Record and apply customer payments; reconcile AR sub-ledgers to the general ledger
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to address account-related concerns
- Maintain precise customer records and credit profiles
- Provide insights into receivable trends to assist cash flow forecasting
- Support month-end closing activities involving receivables
- Identify opportunities to enhance AR workflows and operational efficiency
