Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing day-to-day accounts receivable operations, including customer service, collections, and cash application
• Monitor customer accounts (dispensaries, distributors, wholesalers) to ensure timely payments and resolve discrepancies
• Review AR aging reports and proactively follow up on past-due accounts
• Ensure all transactions comply with California cannabis regulations (e.g., licensing requirements, track-and-trace systems like METRC)
• Coordinate with sales, compliance, and distribution teams to resolve invoicing or delivery discrepancies
• Support preparation of financial reports related to receivables, revenue, and cash flow
• Maintain accurate documentation for audits and regulatory inspections
• Assist in managing credit risk by evaluating customer payment histories and setting credit limits
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3–5 years of accounts receivable or accounting experience
• Experience in cannabis, highly regulated industries, or CPG preferred
• Familiarity with California cannabis regulations and compliance requirements is a strong plus
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong understanding of GAAP and revenue recognition principles

• Experience working with cannabis compliance systems (e.g., METRC)
• Ability to manage high-volume, multi-entity transactions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities

Details:

• Location: Fully remote (California-based)
• Reports To: Sr. AR Manager
• Work Environment: Fast-paced, highly regulated
• On-Site Requirements: May require occasional on-site presence depending on licensing and operational needs
• Schedule: Occasional extended hours may be required
• Compensation: $78,000–$92,000 per year.
