Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic aviation maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining aircraft to ensure safety, compliance, and optimal performance. Duties

  • Conduct thorough inspections of aircraft airframes, engines, avionics, and mechanical systems in accordance with FAA regulations and industry standards.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance tasks such as component replacements, system checks, and preventive upkeep using specialized industrial tools and hand tools.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues through engineering troubleshooting techniques, root cause analysis, and interpreting technical drawings, and schematics.
  • Repair or replace aircraft components, including sheet metal parts and wiring harnesses, using tools such as power tools, torque wrenches, calipers, micrometers, soldering equipment, and welding tools.
  • Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, ohmmeters, and ammeters to ensure parts meet strict specifications.
  • Document all maintenance activities accurately within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) while adhering to AS9100 quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), military aviation standards where applicable, and safety protocols during all maintenance operations.
  • Support aircraft assembly processes during major overhauls or upgrades by interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
  • Participate in heavy lifting operations using specialized industrial equipment safely to handle large components or assemblies.

Skills

  • Extensive knowledge of aircraft systems including airframe structures, powerplants, avionics, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
  • Proficiency with CAD software such as CATIA and AutoCAD for design interpretation and fabrication tasks.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with experience in engineering troubleshooting techniques and root cause analysis.
  • Familiarity with industry standards like AS9100 quality management system requirements for aerospace manufacturing.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and schematics accurately.
  • Experience working within an aviation maintenance facility environment with knowledge of FAA regulations and military aviation standards preferred.
  • Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, soldering irons, welding equipment, calipers, micrometers, ohmmeters and ammeters for precise repairs.
  • Capable of heavy lifting and operating specialized industrial equipment safely during maintenance activities.
  • Knowledge of CMMS systems for work order management and documentation purposes.
  • Electrical experience combined with a solid understanding of avionics systems is highly desirable.
  • Experience in vehicle maintenance or aerospace manufacturing enhances your ability to perform complex repairs efficiently.
