- Base salary: $78,000 to $92,000 annually, paid bi-weekly

This role ensures the integrity of financial records across tax filings, intercompany operations, commission reporting, and aircraft leaseback accounting. The Senior Accountant’s work directly supports the organization’s financial health and positions Jet Access for continued, confident growth.
Senior Accounting and Close Support
- Prepare and review assigned balance sheet reconciliations with complete, accurate documentation and supporting detail.
- Ensure reconciling items are valid, well-documented, and resolved in a timely manner.
- Prepare and review selected higher-risk journal entries as assigned, including accruals, estimates, and true-ups.
- Identify unusual activity, trends, or inconsistencies during month-end close and escalate findings to the Controller.
- Serve as a senior review and support resource for accounting team reconciliations, maintaining audit-ready workpapers throughout.
- Own all non-income tax compliance activities across monthly, quarterly, and annual filing cycles.
- Prepare and file annual business registrations, aircraft registrations, and required aviation state filings including AE-2 and AE-3 forms.
- Prepare and distribute annual 1099 filings accurately and on time.
- Maintain a compliance calendar to ensure zero missed deadlines or penalties.
- Respond to state notices, audits, and information requests in coordination with the Controller.
- Prepare commission reconciliations in alignment with approved plans and contracts.
- Maintain supporting documentation for all commission calculations and communicate reconciliation outcomes clearly to relevant stakeholders.
- Manage ongoing reconciliation and investigation of client and vendor accounts, resolving any discrepancies and supporting accurate financial reporting
- Identify trends, recurring issues, or control gaps within reconciliation processes, and recommend process improvements or corrective actions.
- Support month-end close by ensuring all commission, client, and vendor reconciliations are completed timely, reviewed, and audit-ready.
- Prepare and review intercompany reconciliations across all Jet Access entities, ensuring balances agree and are fully supported.
- Review intercompany invoices and billings for accuracy and consistency.
- Identify and resolve timing, classification, or settlement differences across entity lines.
- Support aircraft leaseback reporting through reconciliation and review, ensuring financial data aligns with agreements and applicable accounting treatment.
- Serve as a senior accounting resource for multi-entity and aviation-related analysis and questions.
- Perform financial analysis related to balance sheet integrity and expense trends.
- Assist the Controller with audit preparation and responses to external auditor requests.
- Support technical accounting research and documentation as assigned.
- Provide informal guidance and review support to staff accountants as needed.
- Complete special projects and initiatives as needed, embracing opportunities to contribute to Jet Access’s continued growth and success.
The Skills You Carry In
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Five or more years of progressive accounting experience, with demonstrated ownership of compliance, reconciliation, or multi-entity accounting responsibilities.
- Solid command of GAAP and the ability to apply technical accounting standards independently and accurately.
- Proficiency with NetSuite or a comparable enterprise accounting system; NetSuite experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail, particularly in high-volume or multi-deadline environments.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information accurately and concisely.
- Must successfully pass a background check and pre-employment screening.

- This is a full-time, in-office role based in Indianapolis, Indiana.
- Work is primarily desk-based in a standard accounting office environment, with no unusual physical demands.
- Occasional extended hours are expected during month-end close, audit periods, and tax filing deadlines.
- Personal transportation to the office is required.
- Standard business hours, Monday through Friday, aligned with the accounting team schedule.
- Month-end close and tax filing cycles require sustained focus and flexibility, with periodic extended hours.
- Attends team meetings and L10 meetings as scheduled and comes prepared to engage.
- Manages a concurrent workload of recurring deadlines and ad hoc requests with consistent follow-through.
- Takes personal ownership of the compliance calendar and communicates proactively when timelines are at risk.
- Standard business hours Monday through Friday with flexibility for executive schedules, including early mornings and occasional evenings
- Occasional weekend availability for events or time-sensitive priorities

- Prior involvement in audit preparation or external auditor coordination.
- CPA credential or active progress toward licensure.
