Jet Access is a family-owned, professionally operated private aviation company. Everything private aviation lives here: charter, aircraft management, maintenance, sales, flight training, FBO services, and charter brokerage. Where You Make Your Mark

The Director of Operations Control Center provides operational leadership for Jet Access’s 24/7 OCC, ensuring every flight is planned, coordinated, and executed safely and in full compliance with FAA Part 135 requirements. This role leads and develops a team of Flight Operations Coordinators, maintains operational continuity, and serves as the primary point of escalation for real-time flight issues, crew logistics, and cross-departmental coordination. The Director sets the standard for how the OCC performs – building a high-accountability team culture while ensuring the tools, processes, and communication structures are in place for every shift to succeed.

Leadership, Management and Accountability (LMA)

  • Directly lead, mentor, and develop the Flight Operations Coordinator team, setting clear expectations, fostering accountability, and supporting ongoing professional growth.
  • Conduct regular one-on-ones, team meetings, and performance reviews to ensure OCC Team Members are aligned, performing, and continually improving in their seats.
  • Manage scheduling, shift coverage, and workload balance to maintain 24/7 operational readiness without compromising team sustainability or wellbeing.
  • Participate in recruiting, onboarding, and structured training of new Flight Operations Coordinators, ensuring qualification standards and company expectations are met from day one.
  • Model and reinforce Jet Access core values within the OCC, building a culture of ownership, safety, and excellence that extends to every shift and every decision.

Flight Safety, Compliance and Emergency Preparedness

  • Ensure all OCC operations are conducted in full compliance with FAA Part 135 regulations, TSA requirements, and Jet Access Operations Specifications on every shift.
  • Exercise final authority in determining the safety and legality of assigned flights, supporting Flight Operations Coordinators in complex, ambiguous, or high-stakes decisions.
  • Champion Safety First in every OCC decision, ensuring the Daily Flight Review and Flight Risk Assessment processes are consistently and correctly executed across the team.
  • Actively support Safety Team-led ARGUS, Wyvern, IS-BAO, and regulatory audit processes as the primary OCC subject matter expert, providing documentation, records access, and team preparation throughout the audit cycle.
  • Serve as the OCC operational lead under the Jet Access Emergency Response Plan, activating and executing OCC-specific protocols and ensuring team readiness when emergencies are declared.

Operational Planning, Trip Coordination and Partner Relations

  • Oversee all trip builds, crew notifications, flight planning, and regulatory checks across the OCC team, ensuring accuracy and completeness before wheels up.
  • Serve as the operational point of contact for key broker and wholesale charter partners, managing communication around trip disruptions, delays, and service recovery in a way that protects and deepens those relationships over time.
  • Coordinate closely with the Director of Maintenance, Charter Sales, and Flight Operations to align on crew availability, aircraft readiness, and trip feasibility.
  • Lead daily operational calls with peer departments to maintain proactive communication and resolve potential issues before they impact flight execution or client experience.
  • Ensure Final Crew Trip Schedules are accurate and complete, reflecting crew assignments, international requirements, FBO details, and all relevant passenger logistics.

Real-Time Operations and Escalation Management

  • Serve as the primary escalation point for in-progress trip issues, delays, maintenance disruptions, and client service concerns, driving swift and appropriate resolution.
  • Monitor active flight operations and ensure Flight Operations Coordinators are responding correctly and promptly to exceptions, irregularities, and abnormal situations.
  • Ensure all flight exceptions, overdue aircraft procedures, and operational irregularities are escalated, documented, and resolved in accordance with company policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Proactively communicate operational status, delays, and disruptions to Client Services, Charter, and leadership, maintaining transparency and protecting the client experience.
  • Review and ensure accuracy of all post-flight data, crew tracking entries, and regulatory records submitted by OCC Team Members for compliance and billing purposes.

Training, Technology and Continuous Improvement

  • Own and continuously develop the OCC Training Program – building curriculum, qualifying new Flight Operations Coordinators, maintaining training records, and ensuring the program meets all 14 CFR Part 135 standards.
  • Analyze OCC performance metrics and produce regular reports on service quality, flight activity, delay statistics, and team performance for leadership review and decision-making.
  • Serve as the internal subject matter expert and system owner for Avianis and ForeFlight Dispatch – managing vendor relationships, leading configuration improvements, and driving adoption of new capabilities across the OCC team.
  • Own and execute EOS Rocks aligned to the charter vertical, contributing to cross-functional planning and accountability through Level 10 meetings, Scorecards, and quarterly Rock reviews.
  • Complete special projects and initiatives as needed, embracing opportunities to contribute to Jet Access’s continued growth and success.
