Director at Childcare/Daycare Center

Brookshire South is seeking a dynamic Center Director to lead our licensed childcare center serving children ages 6 weeks to 12 years. The ideal candidate has a passion for early childhood education, proven leadership skills, and experience as a director in a licensed facility. Candidates must meet state requirements to serve as the administrator on a license.

Overview:

As Center Director, you will oversee all aspects of the center’s operations, staff, and curriculum. You will ensure a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children, support families, and build a strong, collaborative team culture. This role is critical in maintaining high-quality early childhood education and compliance with all state licensing regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead daily operations of the center, ensuring smooth and efficient workflows
• Hire, onboard, train, and evaluate staff; maintain compliance with state ratios and policies
• Manage staff schedules, payroll, and employee records
• Oversee billing, collections, and parent account inquiries; maintain positive parent relationships
• Ensure classrooms follow curriculum standards and that children reach developmental milestones
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment; track and manage maintenance needs
• Drive enrollment, conduct tours, and onboard new families
• Manage licensing inspections, fire/emergency drills, and compliance documentation

Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a director or assistant director in a licensed childcare facility
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Knowledge of state childcare licensing requirements
• Passion for early childhood education and building a collaborative, high-quality learning environment
