Experienced Restaurant Server

Reports to: General Manager and Jersey Prime Management Staff

Position Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Promote teamwork creating a positive work environment.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and deliver them efficiently.
• Provide exemplary menu recommendations and knowledge of Jersey Prime food and beverage items
• Create meaningful, memorable experiences for our guests, while fostering a culture where hospitality is at the heart of everything we do.
• Properly execute all necessary steps of service.
• Build a strong, collaborative relationship with both the front-of-house and kitchen teams, ensuring alignment of all business goals and initiatives
• Work closely with your management team to stay connected to guest feedback. Seek out every opportunity to enhance the guest experience and build a community of loyal regulars.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a server in a fine dining restaurant, with a passion for great service and a strong hospitality mindset
• Strong food and beverage knowledge, with a keen attention to detail and understanding of proper steps of service
• Positive attitude, reliability, professionalism, and strong communication skills
• Warm, inviting personality with a commitment to making guests feel at home and delivering industry-leading hospitality
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of POS systems is a plus.

Working Conditions: 

• The worker is subject to extreme heat: Temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour. Consideration should be given to the effect of other environmental conditions such as wind and humidity. 
• The worker is subject to noise: There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above the ambient noise level. 

Physical Requirements: 

• Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. 
• Standing: Remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time 
• Kneeling: Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees. 
• Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction 
• Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; those activities where detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly 
• · Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction, and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and making fine discriminations in sound. 
• · Repetitive motions: Making substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
