Steakhouse Restaurant Bartender
Reports to: General Manager, Jersey Prime Management Staff
Position Summary
The Jersey Prime Bartender is responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage service to guests in a high-end steakhouse environment. This role requires expert knowledge of classic cocktails, premium spirits, wine, and beer, as well as the ability to create a welcoming and engaging atmosphere at the bar. Key Responsibilities
Guest Service:
- Stay Guest-Focused: Work closely with your management team to stay connected to guest feedback.
- Seek out every opportunity to enhance the guest experience and build a community of loyal regulars.
- Recommend drink pairings to complement steakhouse menu items.
- Engage guests with knowledge of spirits, wine lists, and specialty cocktails.
- Mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and standards.
- Maintain consistency in flavor, presentation, and quality.
- Create seasonal or signature cocktails as directed by management.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies.
- Handle cash and process transactions accurately.
Compliance & Safety:
- Adhere to all state and local liquor laws and company policies.
- Practice responsible alcohol service and monitor guest consumption.
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of bartending experience in a high-volume or upscale restaurant.
- Strong knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, and cocktail preparation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with craft cocktails and mixology trends.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS or equivalent) preferred.
Working Conditions:
- The worker is subject to noise: There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above the ambient noise level.
Physical Requirements:
- Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Standing: Remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time
- Kneeling: Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.
- Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction
- Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; those activities where detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly

Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
