Store Manager – New Store Opening

Jersey Mike’s Subs is preparing to open a brand-new location in Oxford, MS, and we are looking for an experienced, motivated Store Manager to lead the team from the ground up.

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong restaurant leader who wants to take ownership of a new location, build a great team, and establish a positive, high-performing culture from day one.

Training & Expected Start

The selected Store Manager is expected to begin paid training in October 2026, prior to the Oxford store opening.

Because this is a new store, the Store Manager will be required to complete approximately 8–10 weeks of travel-based training at established Jersey Mike’s locations before opening.

All required training is paid, and company-approved travel expenses are covered. Additional details regarding the training schedule, locations, lodging, transportation, and travel arrangements will be discussed during the interview process.

Candidates must be able and willing to travel throughout the training period.

Store Manager Responsibilities

As Store Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operation and performance of the Oxford location, including:

• Recruit, hire, train, develop, and retain a strong store team

• Build and maintain a positive, professional, team-oriented work environment

• Lead daily restaurant operations and ensure excellent execution on every shift

• Create employee schedules and maintain appropriate staffing levels

• Coach employees and hold team members accountable to company expectations

• Maintain Jersey Mike’s standards for food quality, preparation, cleanliness, and customer service

• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace policies

• Monitor labor, food costs, inventory, waste, and other controllable expenses

• Complete inventory counts, ordering, deposits, paperwork, and required operational reports

• Maintain accurate cash-handling and register procedures

• Address employee and customer concerns professionally and promptly

• Lead by example and remain actively involved in restaurant operations

• Help develop future shift leaders and members of the management team

• Work closely with district and company leadership to achieve store goals

• Create a welcoming environment that delivers the high level of service Jersey Mike’s customers expect

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous restaurant management experience

• Strong leadership and team-building skills

• Experience hiring, training, coaching, and managing employees

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Strong understanding of restaurant operations, labor management, food costs, and customer service

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment

• Dependability, professionalism, and a strong work ethic

• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on the needs of the restaurant

• Ability and willingness to travel for approximately 8–10 weeks of paid training prior to the store opening

Quick-service or fast-casual restaurant management experience is strongly preferred.
