Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to a variety of surfaces across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Duties
- Prepare surfaces through cleaning, sanding, scraping, caulking, plastering, and surface priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications to execute precise painting tasks.
- Apply paints and coatings using brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless and conventional spray systems), and other hand or power tools.
- Conduct surface preparation for construction painting projects such as renovation, restoration, or new builds.
- Perform structural painting on various surfaces including stucco, masonry, concrete finishing, and fixtures installation.
- Follow safety regulations diligently by using respiratory protection, adhering to safety protocols, and maintaining a clean work environment.
- Assist with site setup and cleanup while ensuring all work complies with industry standards and client requirements.
- Collaborate with team members to interpret technical drawings and schematics for accurate application of paints and coatings.
- Support maintenance tasks such as drywall finishing or minor handyman repairs as needed on construction sites.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction site painting or related fields such as renovation or industrial painting.
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes is a plus for understanding project scope and materials planning.
- Hands-on knowledge of various painting techniques including brush painting, roller application, spray painting (airless and conventional), and surface preparation methods.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, ladders safely and effectively in diverse environments.
- Understanding of color theory for accurate color matching and visual color comparison skills.
- Experience interpreting technical drawings or schematics related to construction or renovation projects.
- Knowledge of safety regulations specific to construction sites including proper use of respiratory protection and adherence to safety protocols.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to coating quantities, or surface area estimations.
- Additional skills in caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, masonry work or fixture installation are advantageous but not mandatory.
- Must have reliable transporation and tools.
