Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicle surfaces by sanding, grinding, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
• Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, panel replacement, and welding to restore structural integrity
• Apply primers, paints, coatings, and finishes using conventional spray guns or airless paint sprayers for smooth, durable results
• Use hand tools and power tools such as grinders and sanders to shape and refine vehicle surfaces with precision
• Conduct automotive buffing and detailing to achieve a flawless shine and professional appearance
• Maintain a clean work environment by properly handling surface preparation materials, masking tapes, and respirators for safety
• Assist with auto glass replacement or repair as needed during the restoration process

Skills

• Proven dealership experience or background in automotive body repair and painting
• Strong welding skills for structural repairs and panel fabrication
• Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems to support comprehensive auto restoration projects
• Proficiency with hand tools, grinders, sanders, and power tools used in auto body refinishing
• Expertise in automotive surface preparation including masking, sanding, and priming techniques
• Skilled in applying paints and coatings using conventional spray guns or airless systems for professional finishes
• Knowledge of automotive buffing techniques to enhance vehicle appearance post-painting
• Familiarity with auto estimating processes and customer service practices for effective communication with clients
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during repairs
• Mechanic experience is a plus for understanding vehicle mechanics during restoration projects
