What's the Job?
- Provide overall leadership for the department in safety, quality, productivity, cost, and employee engagement.
- Monitor and evaluate the production process, recommending methods to optimize yields, equipment operation, and process control while reducing waste.
- Engage employees in continuous improvement initiatives and foster a positive work environment focused on ownership and accountability.
- Manage safety policies, ensure compliance with BRC and SQF standards, and support food safety initiatives.
- Coordinate with engineering and maintenance teams to resolve production-related issues and ensure equipment reliability.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Meat/Agriculture Science, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.
- 8-10 years of experience in food manufacturing, with at least five years in a management role.
- Strong knowledge of food manufacturing regulations (FDA/USDA, OSHA, EPA) preferred.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to develop and motivate teams.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and computer skills, including experience with SAP and Microsoft Office.
