Accounting Manager

Job Title: Accounting Manager (Long-Term Contract)

Location: Westchester County, NY (Onsite – 5 days/week)

Duration: Through February 2027

Jefferson Wells is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager for a long-term contract opportunity in Westchester County, NY. This fully onsite role will support core accounting operations, through February 2027.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger activity, journal entries, and account reconciliations
• Lead month-end close processes, including income statement analysis and timely financial reporting
• Support inventory accounting and ensure accurate tracking and valuation
• Prepare and analyze cash flow statements and manage debt-related accounting activities
• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes to support business planning
• Manage cash flow and working capital, including oversight of accounts receivable collections and accounts payable timing
• Prepare accurate financial statements
• Coordinate with external CPA firms on corporate tax preparation and local compliance requirements
• Support audit preparation
  
  

Qualifications:

• Strong experience in accounting leadership roles with a focus on financial reporting and close processes
• Solid understanding of inventory accounting, cash flow, and debt accounting
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  
  

Technical Skills:

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs and spreadsheet development
