Jefferson is seeking Interface Control Cell (ICC) Maintenance Technician Support to support the USAF 505th Test and Training Group.
This role will be Onsite at Hurlburt Field, Florida
This candidate will install, configure, and maintain equipment in support of the Interface Control Cell operations center and specifies requirements for the Air Operations Center system administrators in configuring AOC systems to interface with Data Link and Radio equipment
The annual salary range is negotiable. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.

Responsibilities:
- Have a thorough understanding of customer's mission needs and be knowledgeable of hardware/software capabilities and limitations supporting that functional system
- Comply with policies IAW AFI 17-100
- Perform the responsibilities delegated by the AOC System Manager to optimize performance and quality of service
- Ensure servers, workstations, peripherals, communications devices and operating system/application software are properly configured for network operation, are on- line and are available to customers
- Work with local systems Help Desk to implement network security policies/procedures.
- Implement software patches/security fixes required by the AOC System Manager, Information System Security Manager (ISSM), and/or program management office
- Aid and advise during Development Test and Evaluation and Operational Test and Evaluation of systems and new technologies
- Virtualization Expertise: Shall have deep, hands-on expertise with enterprise virtualization technologies, particularly VMware vSphere. Experience with VDI and KVM is also highly desirable.
- Operating System Expertise: Shall have expert-level knowledge of the Linux operating system, including kernel, systemd, filesystems, and networking.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Shall demonstrate proficiency with IaC tools, particularly Terraform.
- Containerization: Shall have a strong understanding of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes), especially from a node and cluster infrastructure perspective.
- Mission Focus: Must demonstrate a willingness to deeply learn the specific defense systems and technologies they will be supporting.
- Ensure and maintain a 98% uptime
- Ensure AOC systems are available 2 days prior to course execution or as directed
- Must have Top Secret (TS) security clearance w/SCI eligibility.
- Must have a minimum CompTIA Security Plus certificate or equivalent.
- Must have experience with IT concepts, practices, and procedures as certified IAW DoD 8570.01-M IAT II and industry standards as they pertain to the maintenance of the Tactical Data Link infrastructure of an Air Operations Center.
