JOB SUMMARY
Property Valuation Specialist
Supports the property valuation process by maintaining assessment data, assisting with taxpayer inquiries, and preparing documentation for statutory compliance and valuation updates.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Valuation Maintenance: Maintain valuation tables and update records based on current market data.
- Research & Data Review: Use valuation guides and resources to research property values and ensure accuracy.
- Personal Property Processing: Process and maintain business and personal property filings, e-file submissions, and opt-in records.
- Leased Property: Process leasing accounts, track declarations, prepare mailings for taxpayers and issue valuation notices.
- Business Property: Review and process business filings; calculate depreciation; and issue valuation notices.
- Mobile Home Accounts: Process and update mobile home filings, verify park owner submissions and issue valuation notices.
- Taxpayer Assistance: Assist taxpayers in person and by phone regarding filings, assessments, and valuations.
- Quality Control: Ensure accuracy in valuation data and compliance with statutory requirements.
- Record Maintenance: Maintain logs, reports, and filing systems for audits and reference.
- Collaboration: Work closely with appraisers and other staff to ensure data consistency and accuracy.
- Knowledge of property valuation principles and practices.: Skill in data entry and record management.
The individual in this role is expected to contribute to the team's efforts by completing other related tasks, as may be assigned.
