JOB SUMMARY
The position involves assuring all programs under this position’s direct supervision are provided at the desired level. Work involves supervising all assigned programs and activities; assisting patrons and parents of participants with questions and issues they may have; assisting with special events and other programs as assigned; addressing problems that may arise, resolving those problems and informing supervisor of action taken in a timely manner.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Implements Department policies and procedures.
- Provides onsite supervision of programs and special events, including evening and weekend work.
- Registers patrons for programs.
- Maintains records of financial transactions made with patrons, prepares receipts and reports as necessary.
- Troubleshoots problems as they arise and reports all incidents to Recreation Division Manager.
- Assists with set up and tear down for activities, involving the physical movement of chairs, tables, mats, stereo, tape, etc.
- Assists with planning special activities within the community.
- Balances the daily financial transactions and secures the receipts as directed.
- Coordinates, instructors, officials and coaches.
- Secures sponsorship, location and other items needed for a successful program and markets those programs offered on social media and throughout the community.
- Performs work at assigned location during specified business hours.
- Performs related additional duties as required and assigned.
