My client, a solar developer in Virginia is looking for a paralegal to join their rapidly growing team. You will be directly responsible for handling aspects real estate transactions through supporting land initiatives to originate leasing and acquisition of property to support solar, storage and other renewable energy projects from start to finish.
Responsibilities
- Manage land agreement templates and best practices including management of option, lease, easement, acquisition, and other agreements
- Support land title work including management of title agencies, ownership research, curative work, subordinations, and policies
- Support landowner agreement preparation, negotiation, execution, recording, and processing
- Assist process to present offers, negotiate term sheets and secure definitive site control documents for each property.
- Coordinate with legal and consulting resources on matters associated with real estate related documents and studies, including site control documents.
- Conduct self-guided analysis, produce reports, and present information clearly to management.
Qualifications
- 2 experience as a paralegal or title coordinator, preferably within the energy industry
- Experience in commercial Real-Estate transactions and closings
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Strong fact-finding, drafting, negotiating, writing, and research skills
