An established Connecticut based wealth management firm is hiring a Wealth Advisor to lead and grow a portfolio of high-net-worth and emerging-ultra-high-net-worth households. This role centers on planning, investment oversight, and relationship management—not product distribution.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as primary advisor for assigned client relationships; deliver comprehensive financial planning, asset allocation guidance, and ongoing portfolio reviews.
- Build new relationships through referrals, COIs, and targeted prospect development in the Fairfield County market.
- Translate client goals into actionable planning strategies (retirement, tax, estate, liquidity events, business-owner transitions).
- Coordinate with investment, planning, and operations teams to execute recommendations and maintain client service standards.
- Document planning assumptions, risk profiles, and investment policy updates in line with firm procedures.
- Monitor client portfolios; identify rebalancing needs, tax-loss harvesting opportunities, and other portfolio-level adjustments.
Required Experience & Skills
- 5–10 years as a financial advisor or wealth planner working with HNW clients.
- Strong planning background; ability to lead client meetings without reliance on product scripts.
- Solid understanding of investment principles, capital-markets basics, and portfolio construction in a discretionary or advisory setting.
- Track record of retaining clients and cultivating new ones through trust-based relationships.
- CFP strongly preferred; CFA, CPWA, or similar designations a plus.
