What are the responsibilities and job description for the Portfolio Manager position at JCW Group?
JCW is partnering with a commercial bank based in New Canaan, CT to hire a Portfolio Manager. This is a full-time opportunity sitting within the Private Client Team, supporting a book of C&I relationships with a notable concentration in the Health Care sector.
Responsibilities:
- Work alongside the Private Client Team to oversee and develop a portfolio of lending and deposit relationships
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to evaluate borrower creditworthiness, including building financial models and stress testing transactions
- Track portfolio performance, flag deteriorating credits, and ensure covenant obligations are documented appropriately
- Review loan files to verify risk ratings reflect current credit quality and prepare supporting materials for any adjustments
- Compile borrower financial data, collateral details, and credit histories to support loan and credit documentation
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of diversified C&I commercial banking experience
- Solid understanding of credit products and the regulatory environment governing commercial lending
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; knowledge of Abrigo is a plus
- Bachelor's degree preferred
