Quality Control Supervisor – 1st Shift

Location: Northern Colorado

Our client is a well-established, science-driven pharmaceutical manufacturer with a strong track record in specialty drug development. Their vertically integrated Colorado operations span R&D and manufacturing, offering strong upward mobility for employees who join the team.

The QC Supervisor will provide direct supervision of a team of analysts responsible for the testing and release of products in support of manufacturing timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a team of QC analysts responsible for the testing and release of products, raw materials, and stability samples - prioritizing workload to consistently meet manufacturing and delivery timelines.
• Oversee analytical testing performed on HPLC, GC, and related laboratory instrumentation, reviewing data and troubleshooting method or instrument issues to keep testing cycle times on track.
• Drive full cGMP/FDA compliance across the department, ensuring on-time completion of quality events, CAPAs, investigations, and audits.
• Coach, train, and develop analysts through performance feedback, training matrices, and career development plans, while managing team KPIs, workload balance, and department budget.

Qualifications

• 6 years of progressive supervisory/leadership experience directing analytical or QC laboratory teams in a pharmaceutical or GMP-regulated environment.
• Hands-on expertise with HPLC and GC instrumentation, including method troubleshooting, data review, and analytical testing of drug substances and formulations.
• Strong knowledge of cGMP/FDA regulations, analytical method validation, and instrument qualification, with the ability to lead investigations, CAPAs, and audits.
• Demonstrated leadership in team development, coaching, and performance management, with strong organizational and communication skills to drive department goals and cycle-time targets.
