Job Title: Fund Tax Manager
Location: Greenwich, CT
Position Summary:
JCW is partnered with an investment firm seeking a Tax Manager to support tax compliance, reporting, and planning functions. The ideal candidate has a foundation in public accounting (Big Four preferred) and brings 5–8 years of experience, including exposure to complex fund structures and partnership taxation. In-house experience at an asset manager or investment firm is a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage tax compliance and reporting for hedge funds, private equity funds or credit funds.
- Review partnership allocations, investor tax reporting (K-1s), and tax return workpapers prepared by external providers
- Research and analyze tax issues related to new investments, fund launches, and structuring matters
Qualifications:
- 5–8 years of relevant tax experience, with a focus on partnership and investment fund taxation
- Public accounting experience required; Big Four highly preferred
- In-house experience at an investment manager is a plus
- CPA ideal; MST is a plus
- Strong understanding of Subchapter K, private fund structures, and credit-related products
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
