What are the responsibilities and job description for the Compliance Officer position at JCW Group?
JCW is partnering with a Commercial Bank who is looking to bring on a new Compliance Officer. This position will work closely with the banks US Head of Compliance to drive improvement with the banks Compliance program.
Job Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design, implementation, and ongoing execution of the banks Compliance Program.
- Serve as a compliance SME for consumer, mortgage, and commercial lending regulations.
- Provide expert regulatory guidance to business units, senior management, and internal teams.
- Research and interpret regulatory developments, supporting the rollout of new or amended laws and regulations.
- Review marketing materials, disclosures, and customer communications for compliance.
- Partner with business lines to address compliance deficiencies and develop corrective action plans.
- Support regulatory examinations, internal audits, and issue management processes.
- Assist with the annual compliance training program—developing and delivering engaging learning sessions.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Banking, or a related field (required).
- 7–10 years of experience in regulatory compliance within the banking industry.
- Deep knowledge of key consumer and lending regulations (Reg. DD, Reg. E, Reg. CC, ECOA, RESPA, TILA, HMDA, FCRA).
- Experience interacting with federal regulators (FRB, OCC, FDIC, CFPB).
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and project management skills.
- CRCM designation or JD preferred.
Salary : $145,000 - $170,000
