What are the responsibilities and job description for the Auto & Casualty Claims Specialist position at JCW Group?
JCW is currently recruiting for an Auto & Casualty Claims Specialist on behalf of a growing mutual insurance carrier. This position will be responsible for handling auto liability, casualty, and related property claims while managing the full claims lifecycle from investigation through resolution. The role will work closely with insureds, adjusters, and internal stakeholders to support effective claim handling and favorable claim outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
• Handle auto liability and casualty claims from initial investigation through resolution
• Review coverage, evaluate damages, set reserves, negotiate settlements, and support subrogation efforts when appropriate
Qualifications
• 2 years of property and casualty claims experience with direct auto claims handling experience required
• Experience handling claim investigations, liability evaluations, coverage analysis, reserve management, and settlement negotiations
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage claims independently in a carrier or claims environment
