What are the responsibilities and job description for the 1st Shift Driver - MAD position at JBC TECHNOLOGIES INC?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive materials and distribute to warehouse location.
- Pull materials for production associates.
- Prepare material for shipping.
- Driving 26' box truck, CDL not required.
- Pull finished product, package on pallets and load truck for local transport
- Deliver finished goods to Customers including placement of goods directly on customer's production line.
- Complete daily logs.
- Requires forklift operation, pallet jacks, shrink wrapping, and labeling.
- Duties are subject to change based on business demands.
- Perform quality inspections as needed for production
- Perform first piece checks using blueprints and different measurement tools
- Verifying correct materials and products before and after being ran on a press
- Perform Quality audits at random throughout the day.
- You will be asked to step in as a supervisor on an as needed basis.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
- 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing/shipping environment.
- At least one year of Supervisor experience preferred
- At least one year of Quality experience in a manufacturing setting
- Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, expectations, and procedures in manufacturing.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Basic reading, writing and math skills required.
- Driver’s License & box truck experience a plus - No CDL required.
- Ability to lift 60 pounds.
- Warehouse experience preferred.
- Must be able to pass drug screening and background check.
- Blueprint reading, mics, calipers
Work Schedule:
- Normal Schedule – 40 hours/week
- Overtime scheduled as needed and may be mandatory
Work Environment:
- Work performed in a plant/production environment
- Contains any number of elements including but not limited to fiberglass/insulation material, dust, fumes, and noise.
- Must be able to work as part of a team or independently with limited supervision
