Industrial Engineer

Summary:   JBC is searching for a motivated and detail-oriented Industrial Engineer to help optimize our supply chain and manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will use engineering principles to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall productivity. This role involves analyzing current processes, designing new systems, and implementing solutions that support our company's growth and profitability. This candidate will be responsible for managing the cost out and VA/VE portfolio for the organization with opportunities to lead corporate level projects and initiatives.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Analyze and optimize the flow of goods from suppliers to customers, including inbound and outbound logistics.
• Develop and implement inventory management strategies to minimize carrying costs while ensuring product availability.
• Design and optimize manufacturing cell layouts and material handling systems to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
• Collaborate with logistics partners and suppliers to streamline processes and improve performance.
• Conduct time and motion studies to identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains in production.
• Design and implement Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to reduce waste and improve quality.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent and high-quality production.
• Perform capacity planning and production scheduling to meet demand and optimize resource allocation.
• Use simulation software and other analytical tools to model and test new processes before implementation
• Work on real-world business challenges and present data-driven recommendations to senior leadership.
• Participate in leadership training, mentoring programs, and networking opportunities.
• Utilize data analytics tools to assess key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive decision-making.
• Gain exposure to digital transformation and emerging technologies.
• Promote continuous improvement through the adherence to the 8 continuous improvement principles

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to adapt to fast-paced and dynamic environments.
• Leadership potential and a passion for supply chain and operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, and supply chain analytics tools is a plus.

Work Schedule:

• Normal Schedule – 8 am to 5 pm; Monday thru Friday; May vary with business needs.

Work Environment:

• Work performed in a plant/production environment
• Must be able to work as part of a team or independently with limited supervision
