As we continue to grow, we're looking for an HR Manager who can be a strategic partner to plant leadership while staying connected to the day-to-day realities of manufacturing operations.

Position Summary

The HR Manager will lead all human resources functions at our Orangeburg facility, from recruiting and employee relations to compliance, benefits administration, and workforce development. This role is critical to building a stable, engaged, and high-performing workforce that supports production goals and company culture. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable in the office and on the floor, able to build trust with hourly employees and partners effectively with plant leadership.

Key Responsibilities

· Talent Acquisition & Staffing: Manage full-cycle recruiting for hourly and salaried positions, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding, with a focus on reducing time-to-fill and turnover.

· Employee Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for employee concerns, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions, ensuring fair and consistent application of policy.

· Compliance & Policy: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEOC, OSHA, etc.) and maintain up-to-date employee handbooks and HR policies.

· Compensation & Benefits: Administer payroll support, benefits enrollment, and compensation programs; partner with corporate HR/finance on annual reviews and merit increases.

· Performance Management: Support supervisors and managers in performance reviews, coaching, corrective action processes, and succession planning.

· Training & Development: Coordinate new-hire orientation, safety training compliance, and leadership development initiatives for supervisors and plant management.

· Workforce Planning: Partner with operations leadership on staffing forecasts, shift structure, and labor cost management.

· Culture & Engagement: Drive initiatives that improve employee engagement, retention, and communication across all shifts.

· HRIS & Reporting: Maintain accurate employee records and generate reports on turnover, headcount, absenteeism, and other key HR metrics.

What We're Looking For

· Experience: 5 years of HR experience, with at least 2-3 years in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.

· Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).

· Certifications: PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP preferred but not required.

· Skills:

o Strong knowledge of employment law and HR compliance requirements

o Experience with HRIS systems and payroll platforms

o Proven ability to manage employee relations issues with discretion and fairness

o Comfortable working directly with hourly production staff across multiple shifts

o Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment

o Excellent communication and conflict-resolution abilities
