Job Summary
Manage and maintain efficient and effective parts and accessories department in a powersports, marine, and ag retail store.
Essential Functions
- Manage the parts and accessories inventory and ordering system to ensure a balanced inventory, sufficiently stocked to meet customers’ needs and encourage sales.
- Supervise PALS staff, including assigning duties, assessing performance, hiring, and other related personnel management duties.
- Oversee parts-to-service processes to ensure timely ordering, receipt, and delivery of parts to the service department.
- Develop monthly and annual objectives for the department to maximize and grow department revenue.
- Monitor parts purchasing trends, analyze sales, expenses, and inventory each month to maintain profit goals.
- Resolve problems such as low inventory or overstock.
- Review, evaluate, and amend as necessary processes and procedures for all parts department functions and duties.
- Conduct staff training as needed.
- Oversee the handling of customer requests and complaints.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications or an equivalent combination:
- Three to five years of experience with retail parts sales and inventory management
- Experience supervising staff, including all aspects of performance management
- Goal and detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to assess problems and provide effective solutions
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some business-related higher education preferred
- Knowledge of powersports parts and accessories highly preferred, but not required
Schedule
- Tuesday through Friday, 8:00AM-6:00PM
- Saturday, 8:00AM-3:00PM
- Closed Sunday and Monday
