Java Moon Station is a locally owned coffee shop serving handcrafted espresso drinks, scratch-made bakery, fresh breakfast and lunch, and genuine hospitality. WHAT YOU'LL DO

As General Manager, you'll oversee the daily operations of Java Moon Station while creating a positive culture built on teamwork, consistency, accountability, and outstanding hospitality.

LEADERSHIP

• Lead and support the team by working alongside them every day.
• Coach, mentor, and develop employees.
• Build a positive, accountable, and encouraging workplace culture.
• Communicate clearly and consistently with staff and ownership.
• Set the standard for professionalism, hospitality, and teamwork.

DAILY OPERATIONS

• Oversee the daily operation of the coffee shop.
• Work 1–3 barista shifts each week to stay actively engaged with the team.
• Ensure exceptional customer service on every shift.
• Resolve customer concerns professionally and promptly.
• Maintain smooth operations during busy periods.

TEAM MANAGEMENT

• Create employee schedules.
• Manage shift coverage and attendance.
• Hire, onboard, and train new employees.
• Coach employees through regular feedback and accountability.
• Help your team grow personally and professionally.

OPERATIONS & INVENTORY

• Maintain inventory levels and place weekly supply orders.
• Monitor product quality and consistency.
• Coordinate with the bakery team to ensure efficient operations.
• Improve systems, procedures, and daily workflows.
• Help identify opportunities to increase efficiency and profitability.

FOOD SAFETY & QUALITY

• Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Hold the team accountable to Java Moon's quality standards.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

• Coordinate community donation requests and promotions.
• Support local partnerships and community events.
• Represent Java Moon Station with professionalism and pride throughout the Sheridan community.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous management or leadership experience.
• Restaurant, coffee shop, retail, or hospitality experience.
• Experience creating employee schedules.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Inventory and ordering experience.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Salary: $48,000–$55,000 per year (based on experience)
