Heavy Equipment Hauler/Transportation Specialist

Responsible for transporting heavy machinery and product between stores and customers, safely and professionally. The driver will be able to safely tie down loads consisting of both new and used equipment, be familiar with NYS & DOT regulations, have attention to detail, maintain timely scheduled stops, and communicate delays effectively. To be successful you will have to be able to log time electronically, accurately verify serial numbers and make/models, communicate clearly with customers and supervisors as to the status of deliveries, and showcase/ demonstrate retail products.

Hours: Monday thru Friday 8 am to 5 pm, 40 hours/week. Seasonal demands may change schedule. Overtime opportunities may be available. Home every night.

Reports to: Service Coordinator. In the absence of the Service Coordinator, direction can be obtained from the Service Manager.

Compensation- Starting at $ 30/hourly, paid bi-weekly.

Expectations & Responsibilities

• Safely operate truck and trailer.
• Safely secure equipment to a trailer.
• Detail equipment, takes initiative to ensure delivered product is clean.
• Demonstrate equipment operation to customers upon delivery.
• Work with Groundskeeper to maintain an attractive lot.
• Communicate delays and adhere to a delivery schedule.
• Maintain a professional appearance.

Qualifications:

• Knowledgeable regarding the operation of agricultural equipment.
• Able to climb on, operate, and inspect self-propelled agricultural equipment.
• Understand and be able to properly secure new & used equipment to a trailer.
• Detail orientated.
• Possess and maintain a valid NYS driver’s license with a clean MVR.
• Maintain a DOT Medical Card.
• Pass Necessary drug screenings.
• Maintain a valid CDL (Class A).
