In its objective to maintain the same values of excellent customer service and total customer satisfaction that have driven the business since 1951, Java Farm Supply is seeking top candidates for the position of Product Specialist (Agricultural Equipment Outside Sales). Growth has led to the need for diligent and ethical sales staff to service our clients in territories near our Westfield location. We are affiliated with top brands such as Massey Ferguson, Fendt, Krone, Nuhn, and Horsch. You will be provided opportunities to grow and learn through attending various training events and seminars.
The ideal candidate will possess the ability to:
Develop relationships with new customers and effectively serve current ones by determining customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific equipment
Retain loyal customer relationships through excellent customer service
Maintain current knowledge of products, as well as competitors’ products and remain up-to-date on the latest agricultural trends and practices.
Learn and apply new product knowledge to enhance sales and personal professionalism
Maintain current knowledge of financing options to assist customers in purchasing new or used products
Present complex ideas and materials clearly to ensure customer understanding
Utilize Microsoft Office Suite and other computer programs to accomplish everyday job duties
Communicate effectively and professionally to colleagues and customers
Maintain assigned company vehicles and equipment
Assist with new product deliveries, setup, and troubleshooting
Perform demonstrations and create trade evaluations
Assist in remarketing used equipment
Meet physical demands of job (lifting, hooking/unhooking equipment, crawling under/on large equipment)
A strong agricultural background and mechanical aptitude are required. The qualified candidate will possess a strong work ethic, with excellent communication skills, flexibility, and the ability to work successfully as part of a team. A valid driver’s license and clean, insurable MVR is required. The position will involve local travel in the region specified. A minimum of 2 years of college and sales experience are preferred. Expected work hours are Monday-Friday 8am to 5pm, Saturdays 8am-12pm. Seasonal demands can change expected work hours.
