We’re looking for someone who is currently winning through outbound prospecting, cold calling, building a pipeline, and booking meetings—and is ready to take the next step into leadership.
What you’ll do:
- Lead a top-of-funnel business development team
- Coach real cold calls and prospecting activity
- Help reps open doors and create a pipeline
- Hold a high bar for activity and performance
Why this role exists:
Most companies either:
- Promote top reps and pull them out of the work, or
- Hire managers who haven’t prospected in years
We’re doing neither; we want someone who:
- Has built a pipeline from scratch through cold calling
- Knows what actually works (not theory)
- Is ready to start coaching others to do the same
Growth path:
Prove you can develop people and drive pipeline, and you’ll have the opportunity to lead both eventually:
- Top-of-funnel (BDR) teams
- Full sales-cycle business development teams
Requirements:
- Proven outbound prospecting success (phone-heavy)
- Strong ability to start sales conversations
- Desire to lead without losing connection to the work
- Must live within a 45-minute drive of Orrville, OH
