Parts Manager

General Description:
As the Parts Manager, you will direct an efficient and profitable parts department by ensuring internal and external customer satisfaction, using proper purchasing procedures, effective inventory control, competitive pricing, merchandising and advertising.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Implement a business plan to support and achieve sales and profitability goals
- Have clear and concise communication with team, customers, other managers, departments and locations, OEM's, vendors, etc.
- Hire, train, motivate, counsel, and monitor the performance of all parts department staff
- Maintain a balanced inventory consistent with the requirements of the service department, wholesale accounts and the public
- Analyze departmental operations and storage layout, revise as needed for maximum effectiveness
- Direct outside parts and counter sales efforts, develop sales promotions
- Actively seek and develop new accounts and represent the company to potential customers
- Utilize support personnel for order fills and deliveries
- Listen to and resolve customer complaints regarding products, services, or personnel with concern for the customer
- Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of products and services provided, programs and pricing offered
- Comply with OSHA regulations and safety requirements pertaining to this position.
- Perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods of time, which may include light and heavy lifting, standing, bending, and squatting
Basic Requirements:
- Experience with heavy-duty truck parts
- Valid driver's license
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior management experience
- Experience with heavy-duty truck parts
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in related field

- Must be able to work in a results-oriented, fast-paced environment as part of a team.
- Must be a self-starter and willing to take the initiative, able and willing to work without direct supervision, and be willing to attend appropriate training sessions.
