Ag-Pro is seeking a Parts Department Manager to lead our parts operations. This key leadership role is responsible for delivering exceptional internal and external customer satisfaction while maximizing profitability through effective parts sales, inventory management, and expense control. The Parts Manager will optimize department processes and build a high-performing team.
Job Duties
- Develop, communicate, enforce, and monitor efficient Parts Department processes to ensure outstanding customer satisfaction
- Promote and merchandise parts and accessories in collaboration with other store locations
- Establish annual Parts Department goals and budgets in alignment with the company’s financial and operational objectives
- Create and execute a comprehensive marketing plan for the Parts Department, monitoring performance monthly to achieve departmental targets
- Maintain an accurate and effective parts inventory control system, including perpetual inventory tracking, annual physical inventories, and proper counter procedures
- Submit all warranty and return claims in a timely manner to maximize credits and reimbursements
- Maximize utilization of manufacturer order discount programs to meet or exceed stock order goals
- Ensure all department tools, equipment, and vehicles are properly maintained and in good working condition
- Lead recruiting, staffing, training, and employee development for all team members reporting to this position
- Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Proven experience leading and managing a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and internet-based tools
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with individuals and groups
- Basic understanding of financial principles as they relate to Parts Department operations
- Ability to analyze and interpret internal reports and data
- Excellent customer service skills with a customer-first mindset
- Ability and willingness to work extended hours, including weekends when needed
- High School Diploma or equivalent (relevant experience may substitute)
