Duties

- Ensure all meals and snacks meet nutritional guidelines, including specialized diets such as tube feeding or diagnostic evaluation requirements.
- Manage food inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining proper storage to optimize budget efficiency while ensuring freshness and safety.
- Conduct patient assessments to tailor meal plans effectively and monitor ongoing health status related to nutrition.
- Implement health coaching strategies to educate residents on healthy eating habits and lifestyle choices.
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory standards, including documentation of care plans, food safety protocols, and dietary department policies.
Experience
- Proven management experience within a dietary or nutrition department in assisted living or healthcare settings.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, nutrition science, and dietetics principles essential for developing effective care plans.
- Hands-on experience with patient assessment techniques and specialized feeding methods such as tube feeding.
- Demonstrated supervising experience with dietary staff or healthcare teams in fast-paced environments.
- Familiarity with budgeting processes for food service operations and resource management.
- Background in health coaching or patient education to promote wellness initiatives.
