Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Daycare Provider to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children of various ages. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising children, facilitating educational activities, and ensuring their well-being through attentive caregiving. This role requires a strong understanding of childhood development, classroom management, and the ability to work effectively with children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities. Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor children during play, meals, naps, and educational activities to ensure safety at all times
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, socialization, and physical development
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment conducive to learning and play
- Provide emotional support and foster positive behavior management strategies
- Assist with diapering, feeding, and basic health needs of infants and toddlers
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and any concerns
- Adhere to all safety protocols including first aid procedures when necessary
- Support children with special needs by implementing individualized care plans in collaboration with specialists when applicable
- Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and childcare standards
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or classroom settings is preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early education practices
- Experience with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, or children with disabilities is advantageous
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
- Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable
- Background in special education or working with children who have special needs is a plus
- Previous nannying or babysitting experience demonstrating responsibility for child supervision and caregiving tasks
- Basic ASL preferred
