Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Daycare Provider to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children of various ages. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising children, facilitating educational activities, and ensuring their well-being through attentive caregiving. This role requires a strong understanding of childhood development, classroom management, and the ability to work effectively with children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities. Experience in early childhood education and childcare is highly valued to promote a positive learning atmosphere and support children's growth and development.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor children during play, meals, naps, and educational activities to ensure safety at all times
• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, socialization, and physical development
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment conducive to learning and play
• Provide emotional support and foster positive behavior management strategies
• Assist with diapering, feeding, and basic health needs of infants and toddlers
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and any concerns
• Adhere to all safety protocols including first aid procedures when necessary
• Support children with special needs by implementing individualized care plans in collaboration with specialists when applicable
• Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and childcare standards

Experience

• Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or classroom settings is preferred
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early education practices
• Experience with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, or children with disabilities is advantageous
• Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
• Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable
• Background in special education or working with children who have special needs is a plus
• Previous nannying or babysitting experience demonstrating responsibility for child supervision and caregiving tasks
• Basic ASL preferred
