Residential/ Commercial Landscape Designer/Estimator

Duties

• Develop comprehensive landscape designs, incorporating sustainable and innovative solutions.
• Create detailed construction documentation, including drawings, specifications, and estimates for residential and commercial projects.
• Prepare compelling renderings, hand-drawn illustrations, and digital visualizations using Design Software to effectively communicate design concepts.
• Conduct site visits for land surveying, land assessment, and to gather accurate measurements and site conditions for project planning.
• Collaborate closely with clients to understand their needs, present design proposals, and incorporate feedback into final plans.
• Estimate project costs accurately by analyzing materials, labor, equipment needs, and construction timelines; prepare detailed bids for clients.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and project managers to ensure seamless execution of landscaping projects from inception through completion.

Requirements

• Proven experience in landscape architecture or landscape design for residential and commercial projects; construction experience is highly valued.
• Strong skills in rendering techniques using graphic design software; ability to produce high-quality visual presentations.
• Knowledge of horticulture principles, landscape maintenance practices, hardscape installation (pavers, retaining walls), irrigation systems, and sustainable design strategies.
• Experience with project management tasks such as scheduling, budgeting estimates, land surveying coordination, and construction documentation.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members; experience in client presentations and professional art or design is preferred.
• Familiarity with civil engineering concepts related to land development; knowledge of Land Surveying standards is advantageous.
• A background in landscape architecture or related field; certifications in landscape design are desired.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
