James Avery is seeking a Temporary Sales Support Accounting Associate to assist the Accounting department with sales-support tasks, including month end reporting, accounting for sales transactions, as well as various general accounting tasks. This is an Onsite position located on our Main Campus in Kerrville, TX.
- This is a short-term assignment expected to begin in mid-June and end in mid-August.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Assist with accounting for sales transactions, including compiling support from various internal systems.
- Assist with researching, analyzing, and/or reconciliation of sales-related transactions, including credit card transactions, gift cards, and other forms of payment tender.
- Assist with general accounting analysis, as requested.
- Assist with monthly general ledger close activities.
- Assist in preparing journal entries.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Work experience or equivalent coursework in Accounting, Finance or relevant field.
- Basic understanding of accounting and financial principles.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel functions.
- Ability to effectively multitask.
- Ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to apply basic logic and understanding to carry out instructions.
- Collaborative team spirit and willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications
- Enrolled in Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree program with focus in Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics or related field.
- Experience with accounting software.
- Experience working in a retail environment.
