James Avery is seeking a Temporary Sales Support Accounting Associate to assist the Accounting department with sales-support tasks, including month end reporting, accounting for sales transactions, as well as various general accounting tasks. This is an Onsite position located on our Main Campus in Kerrville, TX.
*This is a short-term assignment expected to begin in mid-June and end in mid-August.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
•Assist with accounting for sales transactions, including compiling support from various internal systems.
•Assist with researching, analyzing, and/or reconciliation of sales-related transactions, including credit card transactions, gift cards, and other forms of payment tender.
•Assist with general accounting analysis, as requested.
•Assist with monthly general ledger close activities.
•Assist in preparing journal entries.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
•High School Diploma or equivalent.
•Work experience or equivalent coursework in Accounting, Finance or relevant field.
•Basic understanding of accounting and financial principles.
•Excellent communication and organizational skills.
•Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
•Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel functions.
•Ability to effectively multitask.
•Ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy and strong attention to detail.
•Ability to apply basic logic and understanding to carry out instructions.
•Collaborative team spirit and willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications
•Enrolled in Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree program with focus in Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics or related field.
•Experience with accounting software.
•Experience working in a retail environment.
