JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the maintenance and repair of buildings and grounds at various locations including manufacturing, retail stores and corporate departments in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting, finishing, drywall, with limited supervision and assist with retail store set-ups (i.e. special features, staging, completed cases and furniture, etc.)



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1.Complete routine and preventive building maintenance work orders following set guidelines and procedures.
2.Complete assigned maintenance requests as delegated by supervisor. Including assisting other departments with moving furniture, loading and unloading supplies etc.
3.Identify and acquire the parts and material needed for completion of work orders/maintenance tasks.
4.Complete routine daily and monthly tasks, (barrel run, pallet run, ornamental fountains, recycle program, supply run, trash/cigarette dispensers, etc.).
5.Complete daily waste water processing
6.Complete the Retail Walk Thru Inspection List as required and communicate impediments to supervisor.
7.Maintains open communication with supervisor, co-workers and others outside the department.
8.Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicle in good working condition.
9.Complete special features as assigned (i.e. entry doors, custom metals, handmade lighting, signage, sales and stock counters etc.) as needed for retail store setups
10.Maintain all staging areas needed for retail store set ups.
11.Conduct vehicle inspection by completing Checklist and communicate operational concerns to supervisor.
12.Abide by department procedures.
13.Is consistently at work and on time.
14.Observe all safety regulations; participate in safety training; report all unsafe conditions to the appropriate company personnel.
15.Adhere to Company policies including but not limited to the Attendance Guideline, Freedom from Harassment and Employee Discount Guideline

Minimum Requirements

1.High School diploma or equivalent and 3-5 years’ experience in related fields required. Basic computer skills required.
2.General knowledge of painting, carpentry, plumbing, finishing, drywall, basic mechanical skills and vehicle operations.
3.Good communication skills and ability to promote teamwork
4.Assist in training, developing the skills of Tech I.
5.Possess aptitude and desire for learning.
6.Ability to follow detailed instructions, set guidelines and procedures.
7.Must be flexible by adjusting to changing priorities.
8.Dependable, reliable and organized.
9.Self-motivated – self supervised
10.Mathematical Skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals, including calculating percentages. Understand basic math to perform maintenance calculations including: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and algebraic equations.
11.Language Skills – Ability to read and interpret documents (such as purchase orders, bill of ladings, sales orders, work orders/jobs, packing lists and procedure manuals). Ability to write routine reports and correspondence (via e-mail). Ability to communicate confidently and professionally with internal departments and customers personally or via telephone.
12.Proven ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously and manage frequent interruptions.
13.Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
14.Strong problem solving skills, and the ability to quickly learn new technology

17.Enthusiastic, willing to learn, and contributes to a positive team spirit.
18.Pass a background check as well as an alcohol, controlled substance, and illegal drug screen that meets Company standards before beginning regular employment.
