Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic team as we open a second location in Pittsfield, MA. This role is essential for the startup of this new location and will begin with a training period at our corporate location in Chicopee MA. The ideal candidate will have experience with warehouse management systems and a strong grasp on safely operating forklifts, and other material handling vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Process incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy in documentation and packaging.
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory levels, stock movements, and order fulfillment.
- Operate forklifts and Combi trucks safely to move products within the warehouse.
- Operate company flatbed to transfer material from corporate location to Pittsfield location.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain an organized and efficient warehouse environment.
- Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure stock levels are accurate and report discrepancies as needed.
- Maintain compliance with safety regulations and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in shipping and receiving/ or material handling roles within a warehouse setting is required.
- Proficient in operating forklifts and combi trucks required.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate effectively with team members.
- Ability to lift heavy packages (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods as required by the job duties.
