The Receiving Clerk leads and organizes the receiving and storage of all food items and non-food items for the Miraval restaurants/kitchens.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Receives and put away all deliveries in coordination with the Purchasing team for the Miraval kitchens.
- Primary focus being Harvest Moon restaurant with 1894 restaurant and Sloane’s Restaurant also being within their purview/focus.
- Check for food safety of food items being delivered and confer with the Chef on duty on a daily basis.
- Maintain organization and ensure cleanliness of the walk-in refrigerators, freezers, and dry storage for the restaurants at the Miraval.
- Receive and maintain organization of all restaurant china/smallware's and maintain an inventory china/smallware's on hand.
- Receive and maintain proper storage and organization of all kitchen banquet equipment.
- Ensure loading dock area and garbage receptables of the kitchens are always clean, rinsed off, and safe from slip hazards.
- Ensure all cardboard and boxed items received in is neatly recycled.
- Review departmental requisitions on a daily basis and organize for expedient fulfillment and delivery.
- Ensure all food storage areas including refrigerators, freezers, and dry storage are prepared for a health inspection at all times.
- Ensure temperature logs for all refrigerators and freezers is completed daily.
- Assist culinary team with event set ups.
