JOB TITLE: Payroll Administrator & Human Resources Assistant
DEPARTMENT: Administration
REPORTS TO: Supervisor, HR & Payroll
SUPERVISES: None
POSITION TYPE: Non-Exempt
GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:
The position is responsible for all aspects of processing bi-weekly and other scheduled payrolls utilizing ADP TotalSource. The Payroll Administrator is responsible in managing employee’s contribution changes on ADP TotalSource, managing leave accruals and use of internal PTO request system, and performing quarterly payroll audits. The Payroll Administrator is also responsible in providing payroll journals and other requested payroll, DI reports, payroll EST reports, tax and leave data to the Accounting Department. The Payroll Administrator will assist with running the daily functions of the Human Resource department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering benefits, and enforcing company policies and practices, as needed.
This position supports the HR Department by managing JAE’s 401K program by compiling and preparing data for annual audits and reconciling benefit invoices to provide to the Accounting Department. This position performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; performance and talent management; recognition, and training and development. Additionally, this position will also support the HR Supervisor with sales incentive programs, conferences and special events as needed.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Responsible for all payroll functions and requisite reporting.
- Assist with the new hire on-boarding process and orientation program.
- Assist with Benefits and 401k administration.
- Assist management in implementing and maintaining policies ensuring compliance of Federal and State laws.
- Performance Appraisal and sales incentive processes
- Assist in planning, implementation and support the implementation of HR programs and activities.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education: BA Degree, HR certification, or equivalent experience.
Experience: Minimum three to five years payroll, human resources, and general company administration experience.
Recruiting experience is preferred. ADP experience is required.
BUSINESS TRAVEL:
This position requires no local travel.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This position requires lifting up to 10 pounds frequently.
