What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Assistant position at Jacksonville Mitsubishi?
Thomas Automotive Group is looking for a Staff Accountant to add to our Administrative Team. This position is responsible for accounting support for our Mitsubishi, Ford and Byrider Franchise Dealerships at our central accounting office in Jacksonville, NC.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Record and post basic journal entries
- Track and oversee the company’s cash flow, including receiving, disbursing, and recording transactions
- Weekly and Monthly Accounts Payable (via check and EFT)
- Monthly Sales Tax Filing
- Maintaining office organization
- Managing cash/deposits
- Being or becoming a notary public in the state of NC
- Learning & upholding the compliance requirements of our titling and contract paperwork
- Processing titlework with the DMV
- Backup / Cross train on Deal Capping and Floorplan Management
- *Prior titling or accounts payable experience is great, but not required - you'll be fully trained on the job!

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
