Jackson State University invites applications for a full-time Laboratory Coordinator position in the Department of Chemistry, Physics, and Atmospheric Sciences.
Examples of Duties
- Organize and make preparations for laboratory supplies, upgrades, improvements, and purchasing and maintenance
- Assist faculty members with preparing solutions and equipment for labs, stockroom upkeep, inventory, waste disposal, and safety records.
- Equipment maintenance including DI water supply and other instructional lab needs.
- Oversee departmental inventory.
- Other duties assigned.
Typical Qualifications
- MS in Chemistry or closely related field with one year of experience in laboratory safety and maintenance issues.
- PhD applicants: one year experience not required.
Salary : $40,716 - $54,939
