Responsibilities
- Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and instructional activities.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, reinforcing concepts and skills taught in the classroom.
- Monitor student progress and behavior, providing feedback to teachers as needed.
- Help prepare instructional materials and resources for classroom activities.
- Support students with special needs, ensuring they have access to the curriculum and necessary accommodations.
- Maintain a safe and organized learning environment.
- Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents regarding student progress and needs.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities as required.
- Assist with classroom management and promote positive behavior among students.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervising teacher or school administration.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree or higher preferred.
- Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in helping students succeed.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with educational technology.
- Ability to follow instructions and adapt to the needs of individual students.
- Must pass background checks and any required training or certification.
- Availability to work part-time hours, including potential after-school or evening commitments.
Salary : $15 - $22
