We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team at JPS Cascades Elementary as a 1st Grade Teacher. The ideal candidate will foster a positive and engaging learning environment for young learners, encouraging their academic, social, and emotional growth. This full-time position requires a passion for education and a commitment to nurturing the potential of every student.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards and cater to the diverse learning needs of students.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that promotes respect, collaboration, and active participation.
• Assess and monitor student progress through various methods, providing timely feedback and support to enhance learning outcomes.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and foster a sense of community.
• Collaborate with other educators and staff to develop interdisciplinary projects and initiatives that enhance the educational experience.
• Maintain a well-organized classroom, ensuring that materials and resources are readily available and conducive to learning.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and methodologies.
• Uphold school policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and respectful learning environment for all students.
• Support students' social and emotional development through guidance and appropriate interventions as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification for elementary education.
• Experience working with young children, preferably in a classroom setting.
• Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching strategies for diverse learners.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Ability to create a positive and engaging classroom environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Proficiency in using technology and educational software to enhance learning.
