A rapidly growing organization with an expanding operational footprint is seeking a financial specialist with strong expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and hands‑on experience across core finance functions. In this role, you will own the full finance cycle including AP, AR, inventory accounting, cost accounting and project financials while partnering closely with operations, supply chain and leadership to ensure accurate, timely and scalable financial processes.
As the sole finance specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s financial infrastructure, optimizing Business Central workflows, and establishing best‑practice controls. As the business continues to scale, this role offers a clear path to build and lead a growing accounting team.
Responsibilities
• Manage end‑to‑end accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Inventory Accounting, Cost Accounting and Project Accounting within Business Central.
• Maintain and optimize Business Central financial modules, ensuring accurate posting groups, item costing, project tracking and financial reporting.
• Oversee month‑end and year‑end close activities, including reconciliations, accruals, variance analysis and project cost reviews.
• Partner with operations and supply chain teams to validate inventory movements, costing accuracy and project‑related expenditures.
• Monitor and troubleshoot financial workflows in Business Central, ensuring data integrity across AP, AR, inventory and project modules.
• Develop and document accounting processes, internal controls and reporting standards to support organizational growth.
• Prepare financial reports, dashboards and project profitability analyses for leadership.
• Support future hiring, onboarding, and development of additional accounting staff as the department expands.
Skills and Experience
• Strong experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central or Dynamics NAV in an accounting or systems‑heavy finance role.
• Proven ability to manage AP, AR, inventory valuation, cost accounting and project accounting in a fast‑paced environment.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, inventory costing methods (FIFO/Standard), project cost tracking and financial controls.
• Hands‑on experience configuring or troubleshooting Business Central financial modules, posting groups, dimensions and reporting tools.
• Ability to collaborate cross‑functionally with operations, supply chain and project managers to ensure accurate financial data flow.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable serving as the primary accounting resource with the ambition to grow into a leadership role.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and familiarity with EDI, SaaS tools and integrated business systems.
Salary : $100,000 - $115,000
